Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 and 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine melted butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each. Stir in vanilla extract.
- Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture, mixing until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs. Allow to cool before slicing.
Notes
- For extra chewiness, slightly underbake the brookies or add an extra egg yolk.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days.
- For longer storage, freeze portions wrapped in plastic wrap and reheat as needed.
