Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate large bowl, beat softened butter and brown sugar until creamy.
- Add egg and vanilla extract; mix well.
- Gradually add dry ingredients, alternating with milk, until a dough forms.
- Roll out dough on a floured surface to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut into rectangular shapes or desired forms.
- Place on baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden.
- In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, brown sugar, and milk to make glaze.
- Once cookies have cooled, apply glaze and let set before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of cinnamon to the dough.
- Ensure cookies are completely cooled before glazing to prevent melting the glaze.
