- 1 sheet of refrigerated puff pastry, thawed
- 1 cup chopped broccoli florets, steamed
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté steamed broccoli with salt and pepper until slightly browned. Let cool.
- Spread the puff pastry on a floured surface. Evenly distribute the cooked broccoli over the pastry, sprinkle with shredded cheese.
- Carefully roll the pastry into a log, sealing the edge. Slice into 1-inch thick pinwheels.
- Place pinwheels on the prepared baking sheet. Brush tops with beaten egg.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown and cheese is melted. Serve warm.
Notes
- You can substitute mozzarella or a blend of cheeses for cheddar.
- For added flavor, sprinkle with garlic powder or herbs before rolling.
