A delicious and easy toddler meal featuring flaky pastry rolled with tender broccoli florets and melted cheese, sliced into bite-sized pinwheels.

  • 1 sheet of refrigerated puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 cup chopped broccoli florets, steamed
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté steamed broccoli with salt and pepper until slightly browned. Let cool.
  3. Spread the puff pastry on a floured surface. Evenly distribute the cooked broccoli over the pastry, sprinkle with shredded cheese.
  4. Carefully roll the pastry into a log, sealing the edge. Slice into 1-inch thick pinwheels.
  5. Place pinwheels on the prepared baking sheet. Brush tops with beaten egg.
  6. Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown and cheese is melted. Serve warm.
