A hearty and flavorful Cajun sausage pasta cooked in a single pot with spicy seasonings and creamy sauce, garnished with fresh herbs.

  • 8 oz (225 g) pasta
  • 1 lb (450 g) smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
  • 1 cup (120 g) shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions, drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet or pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced sausage and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add chopped onion, sliced peppers, and garlic; sauté until vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle Cajun seasoning over the mixture and stir well.
  5. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and sauce thickens.
  6. Add cooked pasta to the skillet, toss to coat everything evenly. Season with salt and pepper as needed.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with extra Parmesan and fresh herbs if desired.
