- 8 oz (225 g) pasta
- 1 lb (450 g) smoked sausage, sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
- 1 cup (120 g) shredded Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions, drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet or pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced sausage and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
- Add chopped onion, sliced peppers, and garlic; sauté until vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes.
- Sprinkle Cajun seasoning over the mixture and stir well.
- Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and sauce thickens.
- Add cooked pasta to the skillet, toss to coat everything evenly. Season with salt and pepper as needed.
- Serve hot, garnished with extra Parmesan and fresh herbs if desired.
Notes
- Feel free to add more vegetables like spinach or mushrooms for extra nutrition.
- Adjust the spice level by adding more or less Cajun seasoning.
- This dish is best served immediately for maximum creaminess.
