- 1 lb boneless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 3 tbsp butter
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp grated fresh ginger
- 1 can (14 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp chili powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Heat 2 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add chopped onion and cook until soft, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in garlic and ginger, cook for 1 minute.
- Add chicken pieces, cook until browned and cooked through, about 8 minutes.
- Pour in tomato sauce, garam masala, turmeric, chili powder; simmer for 10 minutes.
- Stir in heavy cream and remaining butter, cook until heated through.
- Season with salt and pepper, garnish with cilantro, and serve hot.
Notes
- For a thicker sauce, simmer a few extra minutes until desired consistency.
- Leftovers taste great reheated, store in an airtight container.
