- 4 large apples, sliced
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans (optional)
Instructions
- Layer sliced apples in the bottom of the crockpot.
- Sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon evenly over apples.
- Pour dry cake mix over the apples, spreading evenly.
- Drizzle melted butter over the cake mix.
- Add caramel sauce on top in small dollops.
- Optional: sprinkle chopped pecans over the top.
- Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours or until bubbly and cooked through.
- Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream if desired.
Notes
- This dessert is best served warm for maximum caramel goodness.
- You can substitute apples with pears for a different twist.
