- 1 lb pulled beef (shredded cooked beef)
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté onions and garlic until fragrant and translucent.
- Add pulled beef to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes to combine flavors. Remove from heat.
- Cut puff pastry sheet into squares (about 3×3 inches).
- Place a spoonful of beef mixture onto the center of each square.
- Fold the pastry over the filling and press edges to seal. Brush with beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Arrange on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Garnish with fresh herbs if desired and serve warm.
Notes
- Ensure puff pastry is thawed but still cold for easy handling.
- You can prepare and fill the puffs ahead of baking; refrigerate until ready to bake.
