  • Total Time: 40 minutes
  • Yield: 12 pastry puffs

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb pulled beef (shredded cooked beef)
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté onions and garlic until fragrant and translucent.
  3. Add pulled beef to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes to combine flavors. Remove from heat.
  4. Cut puff pastry sheet into squares (about 3×3 inches).
  5. Place a spoonful of beef mixture onto the center of each square.
  6. Fold the pastry over the filling and press edges to seal. Brush with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  7. Arrange on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired and serve warm.
