Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, pumpkin puree, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Dip each bread slice into the pumpkin batter, coating evenly.
- Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat. Cook dipped bread slices until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Serve warm topped with syrup, powdered sugar, and cinnamon sticks.
Notes
Use day-old bread for best results. For extra flavor, sprinkle with more cinnamon or add whipped cream. Can be made ahead and reheated.
