This beef stir fry combines tender sliced beef with crisp vegetables in a savory sauce, cooked quickly for a flavorful meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) thinly sliced beef sirloin
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 orange carrot, julienned
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine sliced beef with 1 tablespoon soy sauce and cornstarch. Mix well and set aside.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add beef and cook until browned, about 3–4 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add garlic and ginger, sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  4. Add broccoli, bell pepper, and carrot, stir-fry until vegetables are tender-crisp, about 4–5 minutes.
  5. Return beef to skillet. Add remaining soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Toss to combine and cook for 2 minutes.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds or chopped green onions if desired.
