- 1 large head of green cabbage
- 1 pound ground beef or turkey
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Core the cabbage and blanch leaves in boiling water until pliable. Carefully peel softened leaves and set aside.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté onion and garlic until translucent.
- In a bowl, combine cooked rice, ground meat, sautéed onions, garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Place a spoonful of filling onto each cabbage leaf, roll tightly, and secure edges.
- Arrange rolls in a baking dish and pour tomato sauce over the top. Drizzle Worcestershire sauce on the rolls.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes until cooked through and sauce is bubbling.
Notes
- Feel free to swap ground beef for turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
- Serve with a side of crusty bread or a fresh salad.
