A decadent and easy-to-make fall-inspired dessert featuring fresh apples, caramel, and a buttery crust, topped with sea salt.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups chopped apples
  • 1 cup salted caramel sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and diced
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking pan.
  2. Mix flour, sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Cut in butter until crumbly.
  3. Press half of the dough into the pan to form the crust.
  4. Spread chopped apples evenly over the crust.
  5. Pour salted caramel sauce over apples.
  6. Sprinkle remaining dough on top.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Cool before slicing and serving, garnished with sea salt if desired.

  • Use firm apples such as Fuji or Honeycrisp for best texture.
