Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- Additional melted butter for brushing
Instructions
- In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm milk with a teaspoon of sugar. Let sit until frothy, about 5 minutes.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, remaining sugar, and salt. Add in the yeast mixture, melted butter, and knead until smooth and elastic, about 8 minutes.
- Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down the dough and divide into 12 equal portions. Shape each into a ball and place on a greased baking sheet.
- Mix minced garlic with melted butter. Brush the tops of the rolls with the garlic butter mixture and sprinkle with chopped parsley.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown. Brush with additional garlic butter as soon as they come out of the oven.
Notes
- Ensure yeast is fresh for best rising.
- You can add grated cheese or herbs for extra flavor.
- Serve warm with extra butter for dipping.
