Ingredients
Scale
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1 round brie cheese (8 oz)
- 1/4 cup honey
- 4-5 fresh figs, sliced
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Optional: fresh thyme or rosemary for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Place the brie in the center.
- Fold the pastry over the brie, trimming excess if needed, and pinch to seal. Brush with beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Place the wrapped brie on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown.
- Warm the honey slightly and drizzle over the baked brie, then top with sliced figs and garnish with herbs.
- Serve warm with crackers or baguette slices.
Notes
- Ensure puff pastry is fully thawed before rolling for a crisp crust.
- Use ripe figs for optimal sweetness and flavor.
- Pairs well with a glass of white wine or sparkling cider.
