Perfect for busy evenings, this stir-fry combines tender ground beef, crisp broccoli, and a honey garlic sauce for a satisfying dinner your family will love.

  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (or shredded beef for variation)
  • 4 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce or tamari for a gluten-free option
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil or neutral cooking oil
  • 1 tsp grated ginger (optional)
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar (optional)
  • Red pepper flakes or black pepper, to taste
  • Sesame seeds and sliced green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Gather all ingredients and prep the garlic, ginger, and broccoli; rinse broccoli florets and set aside.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add sesame or cooking oil. Cook ground beef until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Stir in minced garlic and grated ginger; cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add honey, soy sauce, and rice vinegar; stir and simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Add broccoli florets, cover, and cook for 4-5 minutes until tender yet crisp. Adjust cooking time for softer broccoli.
  6. Remove from heat, sprinkle with sesame seeds and sliced green onions, and serve hot over rice or quinoa.

Notes

  • Marinate the ground beef with soy sauce and garlic beforehand for extra flavor.
  • Use fresh broccoli for best texture; frozen is also suitable.
  • Adjust honey for desired sweetness.
