- 4 slices of thick bread
- 1/2 cup pumpkin puree

- Caramelized pecans, for garnish

Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, pumpkin puree, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Dip each bread slice into the pumpkin mixture, coating well.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt butter.
- Cook the soaked bread slices until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Serve warm topped with whipped cream, caramelized pecans, and syrup.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use brioche or Texas toast. To caramelize pecans, cook just a few minutes in sugar until golden.
