- 4 chicken breasts
- 1 cup whiskey
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Cook chicken until golden and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
- Pour whiskey into the skillet, scraping up any browned bits, and cook until reduced by half.
- Add heavy cream and Dijon mustard, stirring to combine. Simmer until sauce thickens slightly.
- Return chicken to the skillet to coat in sauce and heat through.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or crusty bread to soak up the sauce.
- Adjust whiskey quantity for stronger flavor if desired.
