Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in egg and vanilla until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing well.
- Fold in chopped dried apples.
- In a small bowl, combine cinnamon and sugar for coating.
- Roll dough into 1-inch balls and coat each in cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Place on prepared baking sheets, spacing about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden. Cool on wire racks.
Notes
- Use dried apples for a chewy texture. Fresh apples may add excess moisture.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
