A luscious and creamy chicken Alfredo pasta that combines tender chicken breast with rich Alfredo sauce and al dente pasta, topped with Parmesan and fresh herbs.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound (450g) of spaghetti or fettuccine
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 chicken breasts, sliced into strips
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Chopped parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken strips and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. Pour in heavy cream, butter, and grated Parmesan cheese. Stir continuously until the sauce thickens, about 3-5 minutes.
  5. Return the cooked chicken and pasta to the skillet. Toss to coat evenly with the sauce.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half or milk.
  • Feel free to add peas or mushrooms for extra flavor and texture.
