  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm milk and let it activate for 5 minutes.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt. Add the yeast mixture, melted butter, and eggs.
  3. Mix until a soft dough forms, then knead for about 8 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm place for 1 to 1.5 hours or until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down the dough and divide into 12 equal pieces.
  6. Shape each piece into a ball and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown. Cool slightly before serving.
