Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- For the ganache: 1 cup heavy cream, 8 oz dark chocolate, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Cream the butter and powdered sugar until fluffy.
- Mix in vanilla, then gradually add flour and cocoa powder until just combined.
- Form dough into 1-inch balls and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, then let cool completely.
- Prepare ganache: Heat heavy cream until just boiling, pour over chopped chocolate, and stir until smooth.
- Dip cooled cookies into ganache, allowing excess to drip off, then set on a wire rack to firm up.
Notes
- Chill the dough for 30 minutes for easier handling.
- Ensure cookies are fully cooled before glazing to prevent melting the ganache.
