- 6 slices of bread
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 2 cups sliced apples
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- Butter for greasing
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish with butter.
- In a bowl, whisk eggs, milk, maple syrup, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Layer bread slices in the dish and pour egg mixture over them.
- Spread sliced apples on top evenly.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden and cooked through.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a drizzle of caramel sauce or a handful of pecans on top before baking.
